The Harder I

The harder I try to become a better person, the more I realize how far from my goal I am. I often find myself doing exactly the opposite of what I want to do or should do. I can either give up, or I can place my struggles at the foot of the cross. For Jesus did not die because of my perfections, but because of my imperfections. My willingness to struggle to become a better person gives him comfort he did not die in vain. My willingness to place them at the foot of the cross helps me in that I cannot become a better person without him.
